Courtney is originally from Central and currently resides in Central with her husband, Brock, and their two children. Prior to college, Courtney had the incredible opportunity to be part of numerous mission trips within the USA as well as Peru and Romania. Courtney earned a degree in Therapeutic Recreation, with a minor in Psychology and concentration in Recreation Administration, from Mars Hill College. Several years later, she earned an Occupational Therapy Assistant degree from Greenville Tech. She has worked as an OTA in school settings, a private pediatric clinic, and nursing homes. She and her family spent a few years in Arkansas, serving as missionary staff, before returning to SC. Their homeschool journey began when their first child was a toddler. Courtney is thankful for the opportunity and freedom to be able to homeschool their children.

My husband, James, and I have 5 children ages 26 down to 13.  After many years working cross-culturally, we moved to Anderson in 2017 in order for James to serve as Director of Campus Ministries at Anderson University.  Even though we have adopted South Carolina as home,  I am still drawn to the mountains of Kentucky and Tennessee where I grew up.  Besides spending time with my family, I enjoy traveling, hiking, backpacking, reading, baking, quilting, and gardening.

Bethany Lee has a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from Texas A&M (Gig’em!), and has been teaching and tutoring homeschool students in science since 2014.  She has a passion for connecting the incredible beauty and complexity of God’s creation with the science we use to describe it.  Her and her husband, Alan, were both homeschooled, and love the opportunity and flexibility CCA creates to extend that experience to their three children, JoJo, Micah, and Nathaniel.  When not teaching Bethany and her family enjoy competitive board games, hiking, and serving with local ministries.

I graduated from Clemson University in 2006 with a degree in elementary education. I taught for seven years before making the decision to stay home after our first daughter was born. I am so excited to be back for my second year at CCA. What a blessing it is to be a part of the Clemson Classical Academy community!

My husband, Brad and I, met while attending Clemson University. We have been married for 12 years and have two little girls, Kate (7) and Molly (5). We enjoy spending time outdoors together and supporting our Clemson Tigers!

Once again, please know how truly honored I am to be your kindergarten teacher at CCA. It is a privilege to teach your sweet babies!
